PLEASE HELP PRINCE RAMA ANY WAY YOU CAN:::

Hey everyone,

My good friends Prince Rama of Ayodhya had all of the gear stolen in Philly the other night. They're great people and a great band and this is really heartbreaking. Below is a list of gear. I ask anyone in the Philadelphia area to keep an eye out for these items in pawnshops around town, probably for the next few months.

Also, I've been asked to look around for replacements, so if anyone has any of this equipment that they are looking to sell, please get in touch and I will put you in touch with Prince Rama.

They're also looking for donations towards new gear. Anyone who can spare anything is asked to donate via paypal at this link:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=9046552

Thanks so much. If all of you could forward this message on that would be great!

UPDATE FOR MONDAY'S SHOW:

From Kinnikinnik:

Monday October 19
1212 10th St
930 pm

WHITE HINTERLAND, from Portland, is pop from another world. Led by nuanced chanteuse Casey Dienel, sometimes they sing entirely in French, sometimes playing Serge Gainsbourg covers, sometimes spooky wilderness lovin’ jams. No matter their bend for a particular performance, it’s always enthralling. They are on Dead Oceans records, the label of Akron Family, Dirty Projectors, Califone, Phosphorescent, Bowerbirds, etc.

MEMBERS OF THE SEA is a group of eight musicians led by Claudio and Chris from Foxchase. They stomp and joyfully burn through positive party jams on all manner of acoustic instruments. Yay fun!

What is 201212, “Twenty Twelve Twelve”?

201212 is a fake name for a real place. The address is 1212 10th St. As you pass the Salvation Army on Central Ave heading toward town, you bear right at the fork and it is a smallish gray industrial building on your left that sits across from Piedmont Middle School. There is plenty of parking across the street. People are to enter through the garage door around the back.

The owners and occupants of the building are amazingly cool and supportive of arts of all kind, and are gracious enough to let us do a run of party shows there. If/when you meet them, shake their hands; thank them profusely.

Think of this space as a roomier, classier, less legally problematic version of the Yauhaus. Shows there will be run with the same ethic.

201212 is the beginning.
